Enhanced Web Filtering

Enhanced Web Filtering with Websense is an integrated URL filtering solution. When Enhanced Web Filtering on the device is enabled, the device intercepts HTTP and HTTPS requests and then sends the HTTP URL or the HTTPS source IP to the ebsenseThreatSeeker Cloud (TSC). The TSC categorizes the URL into one of over 95 categories and also provides a site reputation. The TSC returns the URL category and the site reputation information to the device. The device then determines whether it can permitor block the request based on the information provided by the TSC.
