Configuring the shared buffer size

Junos OS enables you to control the amount of shared packet buffer a given queue can consume. Using this feature, you can ensure that important queues have a higher chance of using the shared buffers than by not so important queues. To achieve this, you can configure lower values for shared-buffer maximum CLI statement for the not so important queues, and higher values for the shared-buffer maximum CLI statement for the important queues.
