Enabling the hyper mode feature increases the rate at which a data packet is processed, which results in the optimization of the lifetime of a data packet. Optimization of the data packet lifetime enables better performance and throughput. When you enable the hyper mode feature, the following features are not supported: Creation of Virtual Chassis.
To configure the hyper mode feature, use the hyper-mode statement at the [edit forwarding-options] hierarchy level. To view the changed configuration, use the show forwarding-options hyper-mode command.
