Junos Node Slicing supports unified ISSU. ISSU enables you to upgrade between two different Junos OS releases with no disruption on the control plane and with minimal disruption of traffic. Now, users with administrator rights can perform unified ISSU on the BSYS, (the base system in a Junos Node Slicing setup) and the guest network functions (GNF) separately. Also, users can run unified ISSU on each GNF independently, without affecting other GNFs.
