The forwarding path supports the following types of Layer 2 control packets (excluding Operation, Administration, and Maintenance (OAM) packets) in both directions, receiving and forwarding: Ethernet control packets-ARP, ISIS, 1588v2, Ethernet Synchronization Messaging Channel (ESMC).
