Physical interface event damping

Interface damping suppresses advertisements on physical interfaces during periodic flaps lasting 5 seconds or longer with 1-second up/down cycles. Interface damping reduces churn for upper-layer protocols and prevents unnecessary reconvergence. Configure damping at the edit interfaces interface-name hierarchy level. Monitor damping parameters and link status with the show interfaces extensive command.
