Entropy label

The Junos OS software supports the entropy label to help transit routers load balance MPLS traffic across ECMP paths or link aggregation groups. The entropy label introduces a load-balancing label to be used by routers to load balance traffic rather than rely on deep packet inspection, reducing the packet processing requirements in the forwarding plane at the expense of increased label stack depth.
