L3VPN Over Colored SR-TE LSP

More Information:

L3VPN Over Colored SR-TE LSP

This feature introduces color-based mapping of Layer 3 VPN services to segment routing traffic-engineered (SR-TE) LSPs. You can specify color as a protocol next-hop constraint (in addition to the IPv4 or IPv6 address) for resolving next hops over static colored or BGP signaled segment SR-TE LSPs. This is called the color-IP protocol next-hop resolution, where a configured resolution-map is applied to the Layer 3 VPN services. Juniper devices support colored SR-TE LSPs associated with a single color. In general, a Layer 3 VPN service may be assigned a BGP color extended community on the egress router where the Layer 3 VPN NLRI is advertised, or on an ingress router where the Layer 3 VPN NLRI is received and processed. Multiple BGP color extended communities might be assigned to a Layer 3 VPN service, referred to as multicolor Layer 3 VPN services. In such cases, the color extended community with the smallest color value is considered as the color of the VPN service, and all other color extended communities are ignored.
