RSVP-TE LSP Enhancements

More Information:

RSVP-TE LSP Enhancements

The Junos OS implementation of MPLS RSVP-TE is scaled to enhance the usability, visibility, configuration, and troubleshooting of label-switched paths (LSPs). These enhancements make the RSVP-TE configuration easier at scale by: â?¢ Ensuring that the LSP data-plane readiness during LSP resignaling (before traffic traverses the LSP) by using the RSVP-TE LSP self-ping mechanism. â?¢ Removing the current hard limit of 64K LSPs on an ingress router, and thereby enabling scaling to be constrained only by the total number of LSPs RSVP-TE signaling can sustain. â?¢ Preventing abrupt tearing down of LSPs by the ingress router because of delay in signaling the LSP at the transit routers. â?¢ Enabling flexible view of LSP data-sets to facilitate LSP characteristic data visualization.
