BFD: Authentication: Simple password

This feature introduces support for simple text password authentication for BFD. You can authenticate BFD sessions to guarantee that only trusted routing platforms participate. The receiving routing platform uses a simple text authentication key (password) to verify the packet. By default, BFD authentication is disabled.
