Kernel NH Acknowledgement Timeout

More Information:

Kernel NH Acknowledgement Timeout

For indirect next-hop and multicast next-hop change acknowledgments, the kernel next-hop acknowledgment timeout is the time interval that the routing protocol process (rpd) waits for the next-hop acknowledgment before changing the route to point to the new next hop. If the acknowledgment is not received within the configured next-hop change acknowledgment timeout period, it is assumed to have been received and the route is made to point to the new next hop, without explicit next-hop change acknowledgment being received.
