DHCP option 60 (Vendor Class Identifier) includes the serial number of the device. The serial number can uniquely identify the device in a broadcast network. The serial number appears in the format Juniper-model-number. For example, a PTX1000 router numbered DA000 appears as Juniper-ptx1000-DA000.
