Subscriber Services: OLT Migration to Using PON TLVs

You can configure how the router behaves when it receives both DSL TLVs and PON TLVs in ANCP port status messages or in PPPoE-IA tags. You specify a preference for either the DSL TLVs or the PON TLVs. The BNG saves and processes TLVs of the specified type and discards the other type. This situation occurs when the OLT redundantly reports the PON access line attributes both in PON TLVs and by overloading DSL TLVs. Overloading means that the DSL-Type TLV (0x91) is set to OTHER and PON rates for the subscriber access line are presented in the Actual-Net-Data-Rate-Upstream TLV 0x81 and Actual-Net-Data-Rate-Downstream TLV (0x82).
