Logging and reporting function

More Information:

Logging and reporting function

The logging and reporting function (LRF) enables you to log data for subscriber application-aware data sessions and send that data in an IP Flow Information Export (protocol) (IPFIX) format to an external log collector, using UDP-based transport. These data session logs can include subscriber information, application information, HTTP metadata, data volume, time-of-day information, and source and destination details. An external collector, which is not a Juniper Networks product, can then use this data to perform analytics that provide you with insights about subscriber and application usage. To configure logging and reporting: 1. Install the LRF service package jservices-lrf at the [edit chassis fpc slot-number pic pic-number service-package extension-provider package] hierarchy on any MS-MPC PICs and MS-MICs that perform LRF. 2. Configure an LRF profile to specify a set of logging and reporting parameters, which includes data templates, collectors, and LRF rules. 3. Assign the LRF profile to the service set that handles application-aware policy control. service-set service-set-name { lrf-profile profile-name; } 4. Configure activation of an LRF rule with a PCC rule. That topic shows the pcef objects at the [edit unified-edge pcef] hierarchy level, but for subscriber management, configure the pcef objects at the [edit services pcef] hierarchy level.
