Local authentication and authorization for subscribers

You can enable local authentication and limited local authorization for individual subscribers instead of using external authentication and authorization servers. To enable local authentication, specify the password option of the authentication-order statement in the access profile. Define the local password for the subscriber with the password option of the subscriber username statement in the access profile. You can configure up to 100 subscribers for local authentication chassis-wide. You can optionally configure local authorization with other options of the subscriber username statement. Local authentication statistics are displayed by the show network-access aaa statistics authentication detail and show network-access requests statistics commands.
