JET: Infrastructure service APIs

JET supports infrastructure service APIs that extract state data from the operating system and distribute it through the Data Distribution Service (DDS) publish-subscribe mechanism. The APIs support topic-level subscriptions that automatically subscribe to all individual types associated with that topic. Using JET, you can use the data collected by DDS to build custom applications and tools. 

The infrastructure service APIs are implemented by the infrastructure services process (iesd). The APIs can extract: 

• A list of subscription topics 
• A list of the objects associated with each topic 
• The schema and documentation for each object 
•  Application-specific data
