The autoinstallation mechanism allows the router to configure itself out-of-the-box with no manual intervention, using the configuration available on the network, locally through a removable media, or using a combination of both. ACX Series routers support the retrieval of partial configuration from an external USB storage device plugged into the router's USB port during the autoinstallation process. This partial configuration in turn facilitates the network mode of autoinstallation to retrieve the complete configuration file from the network. This method is called hybrid mode of autoinstallation.
