The show chassis hardware command displays the mode enabled for vMX. By default, performance mode is enabled for vMX. If you have not configured enough vCPUs, vMX runs in lite mode. To display the mode in which vMX is running (performance mode or lite mode), the output of the show chassis hardware command displays the mode in the part number field associated with the FPC. RIOT-PERF indicates performance mode and RIOT-LITE indicates lite mode.
