EVPN active standby multihoming to a single PE device

Juniper supports EVPN active-standby multihoming. When you configure a protect (backup) interface for a primary interface on the same PE router, the protect interface becomes active when the primary interface fails and network traffic is switched to the protect interface. To configure a protect interface, include theprotect-interface statement at the [edit interfaces hierarchy level for a routing instance, EVPN bridge domain, and the evpn protocol under EVPN VPWS routing instance.
