Configuring Layer 3 VPN egress protection with PLR as protector

This feature addresses a special scenario of egress node protection, where the point of local repair (PLR) and the protector are co-located as one router. In this case, there is no need to have a bypass LSP reroute traffic during local repair. In the Co-located protector model, the PLR or the protector is directly connected to the CE using through a backup AC, while in the Centralized protector model, the PLR or the protector has an MPLS tunnel to the backup PE
