Hardware resource threshold monitoring for capacity planning

Using this feature, you can monitor hardware resource utilization. Knowing if utilization nears or crosses maximum capacity for a resource provides advance notice and time for you to act and prevent network disruption and traffic loss.

Create a resource list of multiple hardware resources to monitor using the system packet-forwarding-options hw-resource-monitor resource-list configuration statement at the [edit] hierarchy level. Once configured, hardware resources are periodically monitored using the polling interval you set.
