Soft-GRE

The Soft Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE) capability enables advanced tunneling of Q-in-Q Ethernet frames across network infrastructure. This feature encapsulates and decapsulates Ethernet frames over GRE tunnels, preserving original Ethernet headers and MAC addresses for accurate traffic forwarding using VLAN tags. This feature supports dynamic tunnel creation, allowing automatic GRE tunnel formation without signaling protocols, thus simplifying setup and enhancing scalability.
