You can execute supported LinkQualification service remote procedure calls (RPCs) to perform a packet-based link qualification (PBLQ) test on a pair of connected ports. A PBLQ test returns information about the quality of the physical link with statistics such as the number of packets sent, received, and dropped. The client device runs the test by injecting packets into one device and remotely reflecting them onto the peer. You can then manage and load-balance traffic across the network based on the reported link quality. Using gRPC Network Operations Interface (gNOI) operations like this one enables you to use the same suite of microservices to efficiently manage large-scale multivendor networks.
To monitor the status of the PBLQ test, use the show services monitoring pblq (capabilities | summary | test-id test-id) command.
