Notes: The QSFP-100G-ZR4 optic power budget with maximum Transmitter Dispersion Penalty (TDP) is 30.2dB. This supports 60km reach on SMF with 0.43dB/km worst case fiber attenuation and 2dB connector loss. Longer reaches with this optic can be engineered if SMF fiber type with worst case attenuation < 0.43 dB/km is used and connector losses are controlled to be < 0.5 dB. Customers can extend the reach if the link loss is within the power budget. For example, if single mode fiber attenuation can be provided with < 0.32 dB/km, then with 2dB connector loss and 2.2 max TDP, 80km link can be achieved with the 30.2dB (OMA) power budget: (30.2dB-2.2dB-2dB)/0.32dB/km = 81.2km.
