Ethernet expected defect (ETH-ED)

When a unified in-service software upgrade (unified ISSU) is about to start, the peer maintenance association end point (MEP) is notified to suppress the remote defect indication (RDI) and loss of adjacency alarms for a specified duration. To ensure that the notification is sent before the upgrade starts, you must configure the Ethernet expected defect (ETH-ED) function by including, expected-defect statement at the [edit protocols oam ethernet connectivity-fault-management expected-defect] hierarchy level.
