CFM: 802.1ag: Maintenance intermediate point (MIP)

Connectivity fault management (CFM) is defined in IEEE 802.1ag. The major features of CFM are fault monitoring, path discovery, and fault isolation. Within CFM, there is an entity called a maintenance intermediate point (MIP). A MIP responds to CFM messages.
